M/S. Dhodphale Kala Niketan (DKN) was founded by Mr. Naresh Dhondphale the head of Dhondphale family in 1941. DKN's was modest beginning which started mainly by making of lord Ganapati idols for the Pune's Ganapati festival. Today it is managed by his son and grandsons who are proficient in the varied branches of arts. Incidentlly this makes DKN a unique art studio by third generation artists.

Through out DKN's journey emphasis has always been led on quality of art rather than quantity. Application of good quality innovative materials, eye for details, representation of expression has gained DKN a respect amongst Pune's art circle. DKN also has few firsts like Application of environmental friendly paper pulp, epoxy resin and imitation marble for making various statues. The pioneers in Pune to use these mediums.
